As a child, whenever I saw ancient inscriptions in the local Museum.  I would wonder, what did those inscriptions mean? Who were these people? This book attempts to answer that question.  Within these pages are featured, archaic lithic inscriptions. Early paleography, logophonetic, consontal, alphabetical and syllabic signs and an overview of the cuneiform writing system between c. 34th. Century. BCE, to the 1st, Century, BPE.  An overview of ancient writing systems from the dawn of time which focusses on the Hittites and ancient Israel.  Included is an in-depth overview of Archaic Canaanite inscriptions interpreted by a renowned specialist in this field. Also examples of inscriptions that contain passages  found in the Bible and their comparison to specific Bible verses. In addition much focus is spent on ancient writing in Middle Africa with emphasis on Meroitic paleography.
